The fact that the judges gave her a 10 is even more important and I didn’t see it coming at all.
This made me smile.
"Time to save the world. Where in the world is all the time? So many things I still don’t know, so many times to change my mind. Yes I was born to make mistakes, but I ain’t scared to take the weight. So when I stumble off the path, I know my heart will guide me back."
I think the idea of going to college at 18 and knowing exactly what you want to do with your life is a little bit unrealistic.
When you’re 18 years old you’re still young and finding your own sense of self, growing into your own separate identity as an independent adult, discovering who you are outside the constraints and watchful eyes of your parents.
Going into college you may change your mind and your major 2,3,4 times before you actually decide what it is you want to settle into, and that’s okay. I don’t think there should be so much pressure on devoting yourself to one thing . I highly recommend trying out a bunch of things and seeing what you like, going abroad for a year before you start school, getting a double major so you can do more than one thing that you’re passionate about etc.
Just don’t feel so pressured to follow rules that aren’t real that say you have to have a concrete idea of what the hell is going on in your life, because honestly you probably never will know
